Sho Funaki to the NWA Pro/Mach-1 Wrestling 101 Seminar

ANAHEIM, CA—Since October of 2009, Mach-1 Wrestling’s “Wrestling 101” has established itself as one of the top wrestling schools in the nation, bringing accomplished industry veterans such Paul London, Brian “Spanky” Kendrick, “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels, Kazarian, Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana, legend Terry Taylor, and the NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce to share their experience and expertise with its students. Following in that tradition, “Wrestling 101” proudly welcomes wrestling superstar Sho Funaki for a special training seminar
For over a decade, Sho Funaki entertained a worldwide audience as a featured World Wrestling Entertainment superstar, winning the WWE Hardcore and Cruiserweight Championships along the way. Beginning with Kai En Tai during the ‘Attitude Era,” and via such memorable personas as “Smackdown’s #1 Announcer,” and most recently, “Kung Fu Naki,” Funaki has proven to be one of the industry’s most enduring and successful performers. After a twelve year stint at WWE, Funaki returned to Japan to team with his former student Ikuto Hidaka at Pro Wrestling Zero One.

This seminar will allow “Wrestling 101” students and other local professionals the opportunity to learn what tools are necessary to succeed on a global level, and what the major wrestling companies are looking for in regards to both in-ring talent and character development.

The Sho Funaki Wrestling Seminar will be held Saturday, December 11th, at the “Wrestling 101” Training Facility, located at the American Sports Center in Anaheim CA, home to the team 2008 gold medal winning USA Men’s National and silver medal winning Women’s National volleyball teams, and home venue of the weekly M1W “Friday Fight Night” wrestling shows. NWA Pro Mach-1 Wrestling to add a Women Division and Wrestling 101 expanding to add Women Classes on Monday Nights

Anaheim, CA - With the success of Mach-1 Wrestling's "Wrestling 101," M1W is looking to expand the school by adding a womens' class on Monday nights from 7PM to 10PM.  The classes would be run by the regular M1W trainers Joey Ryan and Johnny Goodtime as well as some of the more established women wrestlers of the area who have agreed to help with the class.

The idea behind the women classes is to build a roster of female talent who are capable of wrestling at the level that fans of M1W have come to expect.  Then when enough talent is ready, an official M1W Women division will be added.

An open orientation for the class will be held at the M1W "Wrestling 101" school next Monday night, March 29th at 8PM. No training will be done that night, but we invite everyone to come down and check it out and have an open discussion about it to see if you're interested.  Then the class officially begins on Monday, April 5th.

This is a great opportunity for women who are serious about getting better and taking their wrestling ability to the next level.

The school is located at the American Sports Center at 1500 S. Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim, CA 92805.
