NWA Charlotte, calls it quits... AGAIN.

"We wanted a perfect ending. Now we've learned, the hard way, that some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment, and making the best of it, without knowing why." - JD & Jay

I didn't want to quote the entire post NWA Charlotte has posted on their page. You can read it by clicking here. The economy is really tough in the United States and I can't blame them for not throwing more money into a sinking ship. NWA Charlotte was a hell of a concept. But they might have grown way to fast, way too soon. The ambitious project was first threatened when they had to close down their original "Coliseum," due to safety hazards. Costello and Joyce should both be proud of the level of talent they brought into Charlotte and the crowds should be happy to been a part of the NWA in 2009. So as for now the doors in Charlotte will remain closed for business. But never say never.

nwa charlotte did a great job. i think they will be back in charlotte when the economy turns. sponsorship is what they needed. and we think they will be back! they were successful. controlling expenses and adding sponsorships will help them survive when they come back. i don't know them, but i went to 3 shows. we loved it. it was like watching the WWE come to town...it was that good.

Oh yeah Jonathan, I totally agree. Sponsorship could totally bring them back. What Joyce and Costello have are a unique opportunity to start laying down the foundation of a great wrestling promotion. With hundreds of fans at each of those tapped Unleashed Episodes, Joyce and Costello should be shopping their live wrestling events as reasonable draws for smaller sized arenas in the entire Mid-Atlantic. And even shop their Unleashed shows to syndicated markets, national and abroad.

I hope NWA Charlotte does return. Folks who I know it that area really praised the shows.
