NWA DAWG returns to Vineland New Jersey

The brightest stars of the NWA in New Jersey converge in Vineland this Saturday afternoon at 1PM.  Already scheduled in a match that pits  student vs. teacher,  NWA On Fire's "The Samoan Warrior" Falah takes on his past mentor, Biggie Biggs.  Since those days Falah has been a dominant force for NWA On Fire, even being a former On Fire Tag  Team Champion and a perennial contender to the On Fire Heavyweight Championship.  Biggie has hit a string of bad luck as of late.  The bounty that hangs over the head of Biggie Biggs still looms in question, "Who placed that bounty?"  Even worse for Biggs, is that his opportunity to challenge for the NWA Worlds Championship came to a close when Adam Pearce lost the title to Colt "Boom-Boom" Cabana.  When asked about this missed opportunity for the "Fat Daddy" Biggs replied with "I'm going to take it out on Falah!"

Also scheduled in Vinland is LJ Cruz who is announcing his new manager, Joey Spades continues on his path to Craig Classic and the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship, Ricky Reyes returns to NWA DAWG to take on 1/2 of  the On Fire Tag Team Champions Justin Corino.  Also the debut of the son of a former NWA Worlds Champion and World-1 regular Colby Corino will team with Roxie Cotton to take on the returning Sensation-1 and Jennifer Cruz in a mixed tag match.  And for the first time ever the Fans Choice Gauntlet Royal.  For the first time ever the fans get to pick who goes into this historic battle royal.  All of this action for $5.  Make sure you get to Vineland New Jersey for all the action.

NEW NWA On Fire Tag Team Champions: The Crown Jewels!

Originally billed as a one on one match between "Juicy" Justin Corino and one half of the NWA On Fire Tag Team Champions, Fala of the Samoan Warriors turned into a Tag Team Title Match that Lisbon Falls will never forget.

The Samoans was trying to tell Justin that they wanted to put up their gold against Corino and a partner of his choice, so Justin went back to the locker room and brought out long time friend, Chris Steeler!

As the match started, music cued up from the back and distracted the Samoans and Steeler/Corino. Then the "Boston Bad Boy" Jason Rumble was telling both teams, "Hey, since this is an open challenge, I am throwing my name in the race with my tag team partner, Darling Damon, the Crown Jewels".

The match was set as an elimination tag match with Darling Damon pinning both Samoans and making a debut that will forever change the Tag Team Division! We will have more on this title change and more through out the week!

Once again, new NWA On Fire Tag Team Champions, "Darling" Damon and "Bad Boy" Jason; the Crown Jewels!

NWA On Fire's Webster Weekly for March 7th, 2010

I've read JC's "Cheap Seats" column a couple times over the last week. It definitely gave me food for thought about the current state of the championship scene and what the future may hold. I have to agree that an added title should not necessarily be one that is relegated to the mid-card. There was a time in wrestling when every championship meant something. And, if NWA On Fire is going to stand out from the crowd, then we must do something that hasn't been done, or at the very least is a great idea that hasn't been done in a while.

A couple weeks ago I wrote about the sudden change in attitude of the former 3-time World Junior Heavyweight Champion, the BBB Jason Rumble. This week I caught up with Josef von Schmidt for his comments on the recent chat he had with Rumble. All von Schmidt would say, is "Halten Sie sich für mein Unternehmen dick Badewanne Schmalz". Somehow I don't think he was wishing me a happy birthday.

Juicy Justin Corino, looking great since his return to NWA On Fire last summer has begun to take a look at some potential partners to go after the tag team championship. In my view, Corino should stick with singles competition and keep his eye on the prize, the heavyweight championship. After all, Justin's return to NWA On Fire had more to do with his disdain for Bobby Robinson than his quest for tag team gold.

Rumor has it some very familiar faces may soon be returning to action.

NWA On Fire's Webster's Weekly

The tag team scene here in NWA On Fire certainly has changed since the implosion of The Latin Hit Squad. I call it an implosion because I believe the team was destroyed from within. They got too big. Perhaps too soon. I believe that mounting pressure to hold on to those belts in the face of more and more talented challengers proved to be too much for the Latin Hit Squad. Which brings me to Da Hoodz. They have risen faster than the rising waters of a flash flood. Their time may be now as they get set to take on the Samoan Warriors for the coveted tag team straps. This one is going to one of those "high flying/low riding" kind of matches, with The Heat and The Hi-Lite looking for an all-out aerial attack while Makua and Fala wage their all-out ground assault on their young challengers. This will be a match for the ages that won't soon be forgotten.

Another match-up I'm paying close attention to is newcomer Big Bad John versus the 7 foot 1 Egyptian God-king, The Giant Pharaoh. The towering Big Bad John recently battled the seemingly unbeatable Crazy Chainsaw to a double-count out, proving he has the "stuff" here in NWA On Fire. How will he fare against the Pharaoh? His royal highness is vicious, mean, and cruel. And those are some of his more positive traits. What will he do to prove his dominance over Big Bad John, and for that matter over the entire NWA On Fire roster?

I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. The Boston Bad Boy, Jason Rumble was recently spotted talking with Josef Von Schmidt. As mentioned a couple of weeks ago, the German national is making a lot of enemies very quickly in his short time here thus far. So what was BBB doing with him, in what seemed to be a very cordial conversation? Rumble told me, "I'm the Boston Bad Boy. It's about time I start living up to the legacy".

Justin Corino is one of the most popular stars on the roster. It should come as no surprise that his rising popularity is due largely in part to how he relates to the fans. They are hard-working, plain-spoken and demand a lot of themselves in their everyday lives. Much like Corino, a tireless workhorse in this industry who fits the mold of wrestling fans everywhere.

What is this "T M T" chant and signage I've been seeing around our NWA On Fire live events? What does T M T stand for? Is it the latest, greatest newcomer? Or, are the fans trying to send us a message? Talk to us, people!

We've been contacted by an Egyptian wrestling promotion that is very keen on interviewing several of our greats for their top-rated television program. Of course, we would be sadly mistaken (and most likely severely beaten) if we did not include the Giant Pharaoh in that television interview in his home country.

Have a great week.
