NWA Ring Warriors Presents: Battle of the Belts March 29th

The next NWA Ring Warriors card will be in Fort Lauderdale at the National Guard Armory on Thursday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. Titled “Battle of the Belts,” the event will kick off South Florida’s WrestleMania weekend which includes shows and events from Ring of Honor, Dragon Gate and WrestleReunion.

The Main Event will feature NWA World Heavyweight Champion “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce taking on a challenger from Ring of Honor who will be hand picked by legendary NWA manager and current ROH producer James E. Cornette. Cornette will be in attendance for the show.

Also on the card, current NWA World Tag Team Champions, The Dark City Fight Club, return to face the challenge of former NWA and WWE World Tag Team Champions, The Head Bangers, as well as one of the most successful independent tag teams in the world, The Red-Devil Fight Team, in a three-way-dance.

NWA National Heavyweight Champ Chance Prophet will clash one more time with The Tokyo Monster Kahagas, except this time it will be in a Steel Cage and the only way to win is for one of the competitors to climb out of the cage. Not only will there be two NWA officials at ringside, but former three-time NWA World Tag Team Champions, the New Heavenly Bodies (“Vivacious” Vito DeNucci and “Casanova” Chris Nelson) will serve as special enforcement referees for the match.

NWA Ring Warriors: Main Event plus tournament pairings for 12/14/2011 ‘Inaugural Brawl’

October 29, 2011) Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – NWA Ring Warriors announced today that on

Wednesday night, December 14th, the NWA World Tag Team Champions, the Dark City Fight Club, will defend their titles in the main event of the “Inaugural Brawl” in For Lauderdale against two members of pro wrestling’s most heralded and often controversial stables – Degeneration X.

“For DX members ‘Bad Ass’ Billy Gunn and Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman, this will be their first shot at NWA gold together,” said NWA Ring Warriors Chief Operations Officer (Talent) Larry Brannon.

“And I fully expect them to bring everything they have with them in order to walk out of the Fort Lauderdale Armory as the new NWA World Tag Team Champions.”

Brannon explained that a win against Dark City, however, would not be an easy task as the reigning champs for the most part have held their titles since November 2010, except for a two week period this past May.

“There is a reason why Jon Davis and Kory Chavis are the NWA World Tag Team Champions,” Brannon said. “Simply put, they are a very tough team to beat. They have all the attributes that a team must have to be called champions and as such they have successfully turned back every challenge thrown at them … and that includes some very impressive Indie and NWA-based duos.”

But is it enough to turn back the challenge of two seasoned, savvy competitors like DX?

“We’ll find out soon enough,” Brannon said, emphasizing that this will be their first in-ring meeting and fans can expect “just about anything to happen.”
