NWA Worlds Champion: Continues the "One Last Ride" Tour

The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion has defended the "Legendary 10lbs of Gold" has been on the line, nine times since July 31st.  And the man who has walked away with the belt after each match is the four time Worlds Champion "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce.  With a combination of working in West Virgina for NWA Mountain State last weekend, working the Wrestling Revolution Project this week, and two more victories on the road in Texas this past weekend it is clear, Pearce has left no stone unturned on the "One Last Ride" Tour. After piledriving Jaykus Plisken Friday Night for NWA Houston and their "See No Evil, Speak No Evil" event, Pearce was welcomed into Brownsville place in what would seem like a no win situation.

The word coming out of Houston is that Friday Night, "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce gave Jakus Plisken One hell of a Last Ride with a lariat that nearly decapitated the NWA Lonestar Champion.  NWA Houston presented ""Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil" on Friday Night and featured two NWA World Championship Matches.  While defending the National Wrestling Alliance's top prize, Pearce connected with not only a lariat but the patented Piledriver to ensure his victory against Plisken. 

After walking away victorious, Pearce heads to Brownsville Tonight to defend the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship Match against Ben Galvan in a Lumberjack Match, with special referee Greg "The Hammer" Valentine for NWA Worlds Class Championship Wrestling.

After winning a Battle Royal for an opportunity to challenge for the NWA Worlds Championship, Ben Galvan defeats the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. Originally Galvan was given the three count, but referee Bruce Tharpe reversed the decision when it was discovered Pearce had used a steel chain to knock out Galvan for the pin.

The world’s largest and oldest professional wrestling organization - National Wrestling Alliance Southwest - has been added to the front end of a week-long slate of events taking place at the 76th Annual Nueces County Livestock Show at RMB Regional Fairgrounds’ Central Pavilion in Robstown, Texas, on Friday, January 7.

Among the headliners appearing will be The Amazing Midgets Blixx and Justice, former TNA and WWE star Lance Hoyt, lucha libre star Sicodelico, Jr., former WWE wrestling legend Tanaka, the exotic Ann Dromeda, Jaykus “Biohazard” Plisken, Ben Galvan, Rudy Russo, Dick Dallas, Cody Jones, Jasper Davis, Ken Houston, Barbi, and many others!

The NWA Southwest road show is part of a major annual event in the Coastal Bend region of Texas next year. In addition to wrestling, the Livestock Show includes midway rides, carnival booths, 4H animal exhibits and judging events, cook-offs, parades, trade booths, and musical acts.

Recording artist Hilda Lamas will sing the national anthem at the show after the presentation of flags by the ROTC Color Guard.

Bell-time is 8 p.m. and doors will open at 7 p.m. Tickets only $12 in advance and now on sale at the Fairgrounds box office. Tickets can be ordered calling 361-387-9002. Tickets at the door will be $14.

New NWA Texas Heavyweight Champion!

Chad Thomas redeemed himself by defeating NWA Texas Champ Ben Galvan at the NWA Southwest - PWF Wrestleplex.  Both men beaten and bloody, faced off in what was somewhat of a rematch to fill the NWA Texas Title vacancy after Kevin Northcutt missed a defense due to injury.  Thomas didn't just sign a contract to face Galvan.  He had to go through to big men, Lance Cade and NWA Oklahoma Heavyweight Champion Dane Griffin.  

"I said I would, and I did," said Thomas. " This belt is the pinnacle of my career to date and winning it in Amarillo makes it even more special. Galvan was a great champion and one of the most physical wrestlers I have ever faced but there was no way he comes to my house and keeps that belt."

NWA Southwest Commissioner Ken  Taylor after the Triple Threat match in Whitesboro, announced he felt Cade was treated unfairly in that match and would face the winner of Galvan and Thomas.  Thomas won the Texas title, but he'll be facing The Roughneck Lance Cade for the Lucha Americana International Show on on July 18th in Brownsville.  There is no love loss between Cade and Thomas.  That can be heard when I interviewed Lance Cade for Alliance Radio.  You can hear it by clicking on this link, Lance Cade returns to the NWA.

Lance Cade gets NWA Texas Heavyweight Title shot in June

Lance Cade is fuming after being the target of a three on one attack

most of the match that led to a 20-count out outside the ring last Saturday night in Whitesboro, Texas. The end result Chad Thomas was the last man standing in a Triple Threat match and now gets Texas title shot against champ Ben Galvan.

The crowd was not happy, and neither was Cade, and a review of the match on video proved his protest clearly was valid. Therefore, NWA-SW Commissioner Ken Taylor informed Cade that he will get the next Texas title shot next month at NWA-SW/Lucha Americana in Brownsville.

"I have just this to say....if that's the way it's going to be around here I can be very mean, and mean is what you'll get,'' said Cade. Taylor said after reviewing the video it was apparent Cade was targeted by both opponents and was interfered several times by Thomas' manager Jack Logan at ringside. He further stated that Logan is now suspended as Thomas' manager in any future matches involving Lance Cade, He also added if he found by video evidence on Logan interfering in any other matches his manager license with Thomas will be indefinitely suspended.

The Valley area of Texas has not been the site of an NWA Texas Heavyweight title match since the early 80's, so a lot of fanfare will be coming from NWA-SW / Lucha Americana about hosting this title event once again in deepest South Texas.

NWA SOUTHWEST 12th ANNIVERSARY SHOW

NWA Southwest (NWA-SW) is putting together a huge card in celebration of its 12th Anniversary on February 26, at the 2800-seat Central Pavilion on the RMB Fairgrounds in Robstown, Texas. NWA-SW had its first show on February 27, 1998 in Dallas.

On this card will be a World Title match of Battle of the Masked Men with champion Blue Demon, Jr. facing recent WWE developmental Sicodelico, Jr. It will be Sicodelico's second shot at NWA glory since facing Adam Pearce back in 2007.

Kevin Northcutt - former TNA star, 2-time World Tag Team champion, and 9-time Texas champ - will defend versus challenger and long time Texas ring vet Ben Galvan.

Also, the card will feature a [MINI] match and a Tornado match. Live band music will precede bell-time.
