NWA Pro's EWF: Music Video Feud of Brandon Gatson and Mikey Nichols

Slow news day. SoCalWatts63 as far as I know is a great fan who makes very good wrestling videos. I've put some of his videos up here in the past. The guy's videos are awesome and I suggestion you check 'em out. I plan to put a few of his NWA related videos up on the board. This video was from late last year. Gatson and Nichols had bad blood and this video shows you why.

NWA Pro's EWF Presents: Full Throttle

We'll find out this Saturday Demon vs. Taylor.

NWA Week in Review for Feb. 27th 2009

The month of February comes to an end and the National Wrestling Alliance Marches on.

The month of February was a very successful one our Worlds Heavyweight Champion, Blue Demon Jr. The Demon defended his title successfully in a match against El Dandy in Mexico. Retained his title by disqualification against Oliver John in Pro Wrestling Revolution's latest event in California, and continued his feud with the Border Patrol on the NWA Showcase in a match against Derrick Sanders. Blue Demon Jr. has been on a role and it has just been announced that Blue Demon Jr. has been invited to the Ring of Honor super-show in Houston during Wrestlemania Weekend.
In recent weeks NWA Southwest and NWA Midwest were adding new associates left and right. THe NWA Midwest strived to further its influence by partnering with Pro Wrestling Fusion. THe gist of the the partnership is talent exchange and the agreement to start co-promoting events across the US, starting in Florida. The release mentions "Former Pro Wrestling Fusion Heavyweight Champion - The Sheik will be debuting in South Dakota and all over the Midwest as soon as March 1 and current Fusion Heavyweight Champion - Steve Madison will be accompanying The Sheik to the NWA Showcase television taping from Hollywood in California on March 7 & 8. The Sheik will also be appearing in NWA Midwest on April 24th in Waukesha, WI, and on April 25th in Madison, WI for NWA Midwest promoter Frank DeFalco of NWA Brew City." This isn't the first time that Ed Chuman and the NWA Midwest attempted to get a partnership with a Floridian Wrestling Promotion. April of last year, IWZ was suppose to "co-promote events" with the NWA. I don't know what became of IWZ, their website is still intact, but it doesn't look very updated. I think this union between PWF and the NWA will be beneficial to all parties involved.
The more things change, the more they stay the same. The World Famous ECW Arena, now going by the name The ARENA, was the host to the travesty of 1994. When Shane Douglas won the Worlds Championship, read its eulogy and proceeded to toss the title in the center of the ring. 15 years to the date, Shane Douglas is scheduled to debut for NWA On-Fire and the NWA will be returning to ECW arena.
NWA Charlotte will be running is third show. This show is to feature the National Heavyweight Champion Phil Shatter defending his title against former AWA World Champion Larry Zbysko.
And speaking about star power, Chris Masters makes his return to the NWA. Masters was instrumental in helping Brandon Gatson regain his 3rd EWF Heavyweight Championship. Gatson defeated Black Metal with a super-kick.
We'd also like to congratulate long time SoCal Wrestler Red Tornado James Morgan who bested the likes of Joey Ryan, Ryan Taylor, Aaron Aguilera, and Scott Lost to become the 1st ever M1Wrestling Champion.

NWA Pro Wrestling: EWF presents Chris Masters

He used to be known as the Masterpiece. His Full-Nelson was so powerful it earned its own name, the Masterlock. Very few people were ever able to escape it. And now the Masterpiece returns to his roots in Southern California to wrestle for the Empire Wrestling Federation. Chris Masters, who once wrestled regularly for So. Cal's UPW as Big Chris Mordetzky.
This isn't the first time Mordetzky has wrestled for the National Wrestling Alliance. Mordetzky made an appearance for fellow NWA Pro Wrestling associate Pro Wrestling Revolution, in Las Vegas. Masters teamed up with Derrick Sanders against G.Q. Gallo and Dinn T. Moore.
Now Masters faces Boomballa who may or may not be a decendent of the great Kamala, this Friday the 27th in San Bernadino, CA.
Also on the card will be a triple threat match between former EWF Heavyweight Champion Brandon Gatson, Current Heavyweight Champion Black Metal, and the man who holds the NWA Heritage Championship and the EWF American Championship, Ryan Taylor.

NWA Pro's EWF gets a visit from Shawn Michaels

WWE Superstar Shawn Michaels and referee Marty Elias stopped by The School Of Hard Knocks this morning, while the EWF wrestlers and students were treated to some advice from Shawn, himself. During the workout, Shawn proved that no matter how big of a star you are, you never stop learning, as he learned a new submission or two from Candice LeRae, with whom he was very impressed with. Within the short couple of hours that Shawn joined us, the entire class left feeling that they had been a part of something special. The Empire Wrestling Federation would like to thank both Marty Elias and Shawn Michaels, as well as the WWE for spending some of their free time with us. We appreciated every minute.

NWA Week in Review for Jan. 31st

The National Wrestling Alliance announced it will again return to running arena shows starting March 2nd South Dakota. David Marquez had announced earlier this week on the Alliance Message Board that the NWA did intend to run arena shows in March. Arena shows featuring the NWA Showcase talent started in 2006 and have been an integeral part of the NWA. This anouncement coinsides with NWA partnering with MyUTV, the My Network TV Affiliate in South Dakota, in bringing the Showcase to that local market. "We've made a deal with them to run our program to support this (and hopefully other) dates. Our programming has been on other network affiliates in the past," David Marquez posted recently on The Alliance message board. David Marquez also mentioned the NWA is actively looking at other stations to partner with to bring its style of wrestling to more local markets while still broadcasting on Colours TV.

Empire Wrestling Federation says goodbye to TJ Perkins. The former Heritage Champion and former EWF Tag Team Champion was bested by his former tag team partner, Liger Rivera in a Loser Leaves Town Match. Perkins and Rivera, formerly Famous for Fearless had won the tag titles as the ultimate underdogs by defeating the much larger La Ola Del Mal. Perkins achieved many honors this year with Rivera, Winning the EWF Tag Titles, Tag Team of the Year for 2008, And Feud of the Year for 2008. However Perkins had grown increasingly frustrated when Pearce lost his Heritage Championship to Ryan Taylor and later turning his back on Rivera after being defeated by the Young Bucks. Perkins attacked former Partner after losing the titles which led to the match that sent Perkins to hopefully greener pastures.

Alternative Wrestling Show owner Bart Kapitzke has sent word that AWS Action is slated to return March 22nd 2009. That date will mark the 7th year of the promotions existence. This has been a hard year for Alternative Wrestling Show and Alternative Wrestling Shop. AWS has canceled all live events, but will be running the Anniversary show. With that being said the Shop is still here and open for business. According to Bart "If you have not been to the store in the past two days, the complete inside has been re-done and it is now alot easier to find what you are looking for. Lot's of figures and dvd's have been marked down! So come on down and check it all out!" If you are not able to make it to the store, you can always make requests to Bart. AWS specializes in wrestling figures (Lucha and WWE), AWS DVDs, Lucha Libre Merchandise, and AWS Apparel.

Mach 1 Wrestling will be crowing a new champion in February. M1W front office announced that qualifying matches will take place to determine participants into a Battle Royal to crown the new honor. Already announced matches taking place on Jan. 29th are Devon Willis vs. Hurricane Marquez and Charles Mercury vs. Johnny Goodtime.

Tiger Mask IV was given a new championship belt, when he requested one. Tiger Mask is the 56th champion and defeated Low Ki for that honor earlier this month.

NWA Main Event returns to the Fair Grounds. Mike Porter announced that the NWA promoter and commissioner George Gulas will be bringing NWA Main Event Wrestling back to the Nick Gulas Sports Arena at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds. Main Event will continue to run at the Community Life Center on Feb. 7th. Porter posted that they are planning to bring in talent from NWA Anarchy as well as talent from West Virgina and Southern Indiana.

NWA Pro/EWF Presents: Reckless Abandon

In the main event for EWF's Reckless Abandon the fast paced EWF Tag Team Champions, Famous for Fearless and Chris Kadillak take on Midnight Dynamite with EWF Cruiserweight Champion Jeremy Jaegar. Charles Mercury and Johnny Paradise (Midnights) have had problems with TJ Perkins in the past couple of years. It was only a short time ago at the AWS that TJ Perkins was being attacked frequently by someone who was dressed as Perkins alter ego PUMA. The man underneat the mask was none other than Charles Mercury. The animosity between Perkins and the Midnights doesn't end there. For it was just slightly over a year than TJ Perkins defeated Paradise for his High Risk Wrestling High Desert Championship. Now seemingly it is Paradise and Mercury who want to take away the gold of Perkins. But before a title match could be scheduled, Midnight Dynamite with Jeremy Jaegar plan to inflict some damage to Famous for Fearless and would be challenger to the EWF Cruiserweight title Kadillak.

Also scheduled to defend his EWF Heavyweight Title Brandon Gatson, will defend his title against Hook Bomberry. Gatson recently reclaimed his prize in a 4-Way Iron Man match, when Scorpio Sky could no longer compete. Gatson who is the 2 time EWF Heavyweight Champion has some stiff competition in the way of Hook Bomberry.

EWF's Gambino is done with wrestling

Former NWA Pro wreslter Bino Gambino announced that his MRI results indicate that he will be requiring career ending surgery. Gambino earlier this year announced that he would retire from the sport a few months ago. Many just believe he was taking a temporary hiatus from the business. But now confirmed with this MRI and the chronic neck pains, Bino was forced to make the decision to retire completely from the sport.

Bino's ring antics will be missed. He was a very talented wrestler who captivated fans all over the California wrestling scene. The Alliance wishes him the best and hopes he is able to recover speedily from his surgery and live a happy normal life. Thank you Bino.

NWA Pro is growing...

The year of 2008 marks the start of a new breed of professional wrestling in California. Pro Wrestling Revolution is born and is part of the National Wrestling Alliance. With that in mind, Pro Wrestling Revolution will also be known as “La Revolucion de la Lucha Libre”. The goal is not to try to reinvent the sport of professional wrestling but take back to where it needs to be with a mixture of what it has become today. One of the major ingredients of Pro Wrestling Revolution is the mixture of Lucha Libre. It is obvious to all, this is something that cannot be contained. We have made many friends over the years and we look forward to showcasing these incredible talented luchadores.

We look forward to putting on entertaining shows for all ages and diverse crowds. We have our first date set for May 17th in San Jose, California at Mount Pleasant High School. We will be working with them all year long. We will be releasing the line up in the very near future but can confirm Hijo de Rey Misterio, Piratita Morgan and Octagoncito.

All Pro Wrestling blessed me many years ago with the opportunity to be a part of pro wrestling and I never thought I would be where I am at now. I am thankful for all the knowledge and the opportunities that were given to me, I will never forget. I am moving forward with a different chapter in my life but will never forget where I came from. I will still stay on with APW in some capacities and help where I can be of use.

We are very thankful for all the help and support in putting this together.

¡Viva la Revolución!
Gabriel Ramirez
Well this is news to me. Back in February All Pro Wrestling's Gabe Ramirez started a new wrestling promotion Pro Wrestling Revolution, a lucha libre based wrestling group. Ramirez had introduced talent agreements with the NWA Pro, bringing such wrestlers as KAFU (who is now signed to the WWE), E.G.O., Dana Lee, and J.J Perez. This expands the NWA Pro influence even greater. NWA Pro is now; California (Alternative Wrestling Show, Empire Wrestling Federation, and High-Risk Wrestling), Arizona (Rising Phoenix Wrestling and Impact Zone Wrestling), Utah (Ultra Championship Wrestling - Zero), Colorado (Fusion Pro Wrestling) New Jersey (NWA Pro East), Pennsylvania (NWA Black and Blue), and in Australia with Perth (Explosive Pro Wrestling) and Adelaide (EPW-Adelaide).

Former WWE Star returns to NWA Pro, in EWF.

Former WWE and AWA Tag Team Champion, Marty Jannetty makes his return to Southern California. Janetty had previously competed for NWA Pro/HRW last year. The Rocker has signed on to compete for NWA Pro/EWF on March 2nd. He will be competing against former EWF Heavyweight Champion Dan "The Man" Kobrick. Jannetty had made a name for himself teaming with Shawn Michaels in the AWA and later the WWE. Marty also went on to compete in WCW's fledgling Cruiserweight Division. Kobrick is looking to redeem himself after recently losing his Heavyweight Championship to Brandon Gatson.

EWF's March show will also feature the EWF Heavyweight Champion Brandon Gatson and Scorpio Sky versus Ryan Taylor and JT Blackstar.
