I relinquish my NWA World's Jr. Heavyweight Title in Protest to the horrible decision to strip our world champion the Sheik of his title. Sheik was on a tremendous roll bringing the title overseas and around the United States. I love and respect this business and for this to happen to anyone in are industry is horseshit and I will not agree with this decision.

Is the NWA World Jr. Champion, Craig Classic, a Wanted Man?

Is there a price on the head of Craig Classic? Is the NWA World Junior Champion becoming a target of Junior Heavyweights around the world? Craig Classic, since winning the NWA World Jr. Championship has been jet-setting across the globe putting his Jr. Crown on the line. Coming off a huge victory, Classic has now defeated two former NWA World Jr. Champions. Classic this past weekend defeated "Mr. 630" Jerrelle Clark at I Believe XXX, Classic defeated. Classic defeated Tony Kozina earlier this year at a NWA Midwest show.
However, after the show, was a contract. A contract to defend the NWA World Jr. Champion against a former World Jr. Champion in a rival organization. In only a matter of days, Classic will defend his price against
TJ Mack, the former AWA World Tag Team with brother and friend of the Alliance Kirby Mack. TJ is also a former AWA World Light Heavyweight Champion. This match with take place at PWX on June 18th
When we talked to Craig Classic a few months back for Alliance Radio, Classic made it clear he would answer any challenge. The past few months, the NWA World Jr. Champion has defeated Lince Dorado (also stole his mask), Nick Impact in and won both the PRWA Puerto Rico Jr. and the IPW/PPW International Jr. Titles in Puerto Rico. Classic went to New Jersey and defeated Joey Spades and Colby Corino. It should be noted Classic has a schedule dating out to early 2012. No doubt about Classic is representing the NWA proudly, but for how much longer? Tony Kozina has demanded a rematch, Christopher Gray gets a shot at Classic upcoming at the next NWA Florida show, also defenses against Mike Jackson and a return to Japan are not to far away.

3 NWA World Titles On The Line At Fanfest

New NWA World Heavyweight Champion The Sheik has three challengers looking to get a shot at the famous "10 pounds of gold." Former champ Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana, 3-time former champ "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce, and current TNA Television champion Gunner are the three top contenders, and each has a compelling case for why he should get the opportunity to fight for the championship. All have confirmed they'll be in Atlanta as well!

This showcase of the very best the National Wrestling Alliance has to offer takes place Saturday night, August 6 at the VFW Fairgrounds in Carrolton, Georgia (a regular stop during the glory days of Georgia Championship Wrestling.) The all-star card is being held in conjunction with this year's NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest Weekend in Atlanta August 4-7.
NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Craig Classic will defend against longtime Alabama Junior Heavyweight Champion "Action" Mike Jackson, and the NWA World Tag Team Championship will be defended on the card, as well.
Charter buses will be available for a nominal fee to provide roundtrip transportation from Atlanta's Airport Marriott (site of this year's fanfest activities,) to Carrolton's VFW Fairgrounds, for any fanfest attendees that would like to attend the matches. It's about a 50-minute drive each way. The buses will leave Atlanta's Airport Marriott at 5:30 p.m. and return by 11 p.m. (just in time for "All My Rowdy Friends" with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper!)
As in previous years, those with fanfest VIP "All Access" Passes will be admitted to the matches free of charge and prior to non-VIPs.
More details on the night of wrestling will be forthcoming, as well as an opportunity to signup for the charter bus service to the matches. For more info, please visit http://www.NWALegends.com/

NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champion: Has gold, will travel.
NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champion Craig Classic has been on a tear defending the championship world wide. Classic has defended against some of the best names in the world, defeating Tony Kozina in Illinois, Erik Scorpion in Puerto Rico, and Munenori Sawain Tokyo.
Classic has defended the title more in the few months he's held the title than the previous champion had in a few years. But Classic isn't resting on his laurels. With confirmed dates in May for NWA DAWG, NWA Vintage, and World-1, Classic is also actively seeking future dates in Southern California, returns to Japan and Puerto Rico and taking the title to Chile. Classic also has a huge match up against Lince Dorado for NWA Florida's Subtle Hustle on April 23rd.
The young champion has been steadfast in proving that he is the best Junior Heavyweight wrestler in the World and plans to prove it against any wrestler any where. You can follow the World Jr. Champion on facebook or twitter. for his upcoming dates, booking information, and updates from the Junior Champ

NWA FL kicks off 2011 on April 23rd Jacksonville FL.
On April 23 in Jacksonville, FL, the NWA returns with a HUGE card. The Dark City Fight Club will be in action to defend their NWA World Tag Team Titles and Craig Classic will be in action to defend his NWA World’s Junior Heavyweight Title providing both can successfully retain their championships until the show date. Also scheduled to appear is NWA North American Heavyweight Champion - The Sheik as he defends his title against Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana. NWA FL tried to secure 3 time NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion - “Scrap Daddy” Adam Pearce to defend against the #1 contender, The Sheik but negotiations fell through. When The Sheik was reached for comments he was quoted as saying “Adam Pearce is a PIG and I will make him bleed like the PIG that he is. In this game of chess he is my pawn and I will get my hands on the NWA World’s Heavyweight Title before long. I must be granted a match before May 1, 2011 whether he likes it or not so I am not worried, Allah is my guide and Jihad is my way. Death for the glory of Allah is my greatest ambition. I will chop the head of the beast and strap the 10 pounds of gold around a righteous man’s waist once and for all!”
If all that wasn’t enough…many more surprises will be unveiled to shape this colossal card in Jacksonville, FL. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
NWA Florida sends two of its finest to ZERO1

Also in Japan for this spectacular show is another NWA FL homegrown talent in Nick Primo. Primo, who is the son of former WCW Cruiserweight Champion - Prince Iaukea, is training diligently at the Zero-1 dojo. Reports that have come back state that Primo is doing very well and has turned many heads since his training has started. We expect very big things from Nick Primo in the future and also wish him the best of luck and of course a safe return to the states.

The Alliance Report Feb. 7th 2011 = NWA in Review
On a weekend that many wrestling fans would take Sunday off and tune into the Worlds Largest Football game, the NWA press forward with some incredible action. This weekends results and news have huge implications for the rest of the National Wrestling Alliance in 2011.
By 2-1 decision, the winner and reigning NWA Worlds Champion Adam Pearce

The Sheik punched his ticket for a Worlds Championship Match
The Sheik answers the challenge of NWA Executive Director. With the backlash of his malicious pre and post match attacks, Trobich threatened to remove Sheik's number one contender status if he was not victorious in consecutive, back to back challenges against the NWA National Champion, Phil Shatter. Under promise of Jihad, The Sheik did infact retain his North American Championship and kept his status as Number 1 contender to the Worlds Title. By defeating the "Universal Soldier" at Xtreme Limit in Waukesha WI. on the 4th and again on the 5th for NWA Supreme in Streator IL, the Sheik has punched his ticket. Word is the match will not happen until May.
NWA World Jr. Championship returns to Japan
Craig Classic all but guaranteed he will in fact be in Japan for ZERO1's Tenth Anniversary Show. Classic defeated former World Jr. Heavyweight Champion Tony Kozina twice in a two days. Although his reign is in its infancy, Classic is in the process of cementing his legacy as a dynamic Jr. Champion. Baring an upset in Florida, later this month, Craig Classic will be defending the World Jr. Championship against Munenori Sawa in Tokyo, Japan.
Gunning for the Gold, Chance Prophet challenges NWA National Champion Phil Shatter
After coming up short against the Sheik twice this weekend the "Universal Soldier" Phil Shatter will defend his champion against the former National Champion and reigning NWA Dawg Pound Champion, Chance Prophet. This match was set to take place nearly a month earlier, but was postponed due to issues with the building. With the issues resolved, the match will now take place next Saturday. One would have to venture that perhaps the battles with the Sheik are starting to take their tole on Shatter. Is he healthy enough? Will he be at 100%? Chance Prophet, although remaining active has not had the battles Shatter has had. Will the 2 year reign of Phil Shatter end in West Deptford New Jersey?
New Championship Reigns in NWA Midwest
Friday Night NWA Xtreme Limit crowned a new NWA Heartland States Champion when Derek St. Holmes defeated Matt Winchester in Waukesha Wisconsin. The Heartland States Championship has helped to establish some of the top stars of the NWA in the last 5 years. Former champions include "The Machinegun" Karl Anderson, "Skull Krusher" Rasche Brown, both whom went on to become World Tag Team Champions, and it should be noted that "The King of Oldschool" Steve Corino also previously held that championship when he returned to active wrestling in the United States. This is coming off the heels of the Sadist narrowly defeating former NWA Midwest Heavyweight Champion, The Sheik and the crowning of a new Midwest X-Division in Oliver Cain. Cain successfully defended the title against Da Cobra.
The NWA's reach in Tennessee has grown again
Joining Main Event, Top Rope, and Chattanooga, will be Smoky Mountain. The four promotions will now carry the NWA Banner in Volunteer State.
NWA Australia to crown new ZERO1 NWA United National Heavyweight Champion
Meltdown 2011 presented by NWA Pro Wrestling Australia is just under two weeks away. This show will be highlighted by the crowning of a new ZERO1 NWA United National Heavyweight Champion. The announcement of a new NWA United National Heavyweight Champion predates the announcement of ZERO1 rejoining the NWA. This title from all reports will become the primary championship for NWA Pro Wrestling Australia. The first two entrants into the tournament are both former NWA Australian Champions Robby Heart and Jayson Cooper. The tournament will fall under Round Robin rules, where the winners of their respective matches will go into the night’s Main Event and face off for the Title! The match brackets have yet to be decided. This is set to explode into Cosgrove Hall as the best wrestlers from around the country compete in a night of back breaking, bone crunching action. This event is entertainment for people of all ages and it is a great night out for the family, so dont miss out and get your tickets now!

NWA World Jr. Champion Craig Classic heading towards a Tornado, twice!
NWA World Jr. Champion Craig Classic has already established himself as a major player in the National Wrestling Alliance in a very short time. Classic won the NWA World Jr. Championship by defeating Mike Quackenbush in November 2010 at the Pro Wrestling Fusion iPPV November Coming Fire. Since then, Classic has had successful defenses against Milo Beasley, Tommy Vandal, and even traveled to Puerto Rico to defeat Erik Scorpion. It was even announced with much anticipation that Classic would return to his home away from home in Japan to wrestle for ZERO1, by defending his championship against Munenori Sawa. But before Classic can appear in ZERO1 for their Tenth Anniversary Show, he must defeat another former champion, not once... but twice.
"Tornado" Tony Kozina became the NWA World Jr. Champion only after three full years in the business. Kozina has made his name all across the United States in true Territorial Fashion, spending time in Southern California, Washington and Vancover, moving to the Midwest, but really making every where he went, his home. Aside from training Kyle O'Riley, Kozina has been known for a long time being a true professional and elevating the talent he works with. But now, 11 years after defeating Vince Kaplack, Tony Kozina finds himself again in the underdog position, but this Friday and Saturday, Kozina finds himself with a wealth of opportunity. He only has to pin or submit Classic once to punch his ticket to ZERO1 and reclaim his past glory with the NWA. Craig Classic has to defeat the veteran to ensure he will be representing the World Jr. Championship in Japan. We'll find out soon, who will face Sawa.

NWA Zero One's Tenth Anniversary Show.
There has been a lot of noise for ZERO1's Tenth Anniversary show to be held on March 6th at Tokyo's Ryogoku Gokugikan. Speculation with regard to the ZERO1's actual involvement with the NWA can now be put to rest as the the returning brand has already scheduled a NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship Match. The Cloverleaf belt had become somewhat of an iconic image in Japan as Tiger Mask IV wore the same belt as his mentor, the Original Tiger Mask in New Japan for several years. The famous championship returns to Japan around the waist of Craig Classic. Classic, no stranger to competing in Japan, spent a lot of his early career working with Big Japan Pro Wrestling. The Worlds Jr. Champion spoke to Alliance Radio at length about his time in Japan and his aspirations to work for ZERO1. Classic now has the opportunity to defend his hard earned championship against Munenori Sawa, if he remains champion until March 6th. Also representing the NWA will be none other than Fred Rubenstein who was a pivotal figure in the original incarnation for ZERO ONE and refereed some of the biggest matches in the promotions infancy.
Also scheduled matches are Shinjiro Otani taking on Yoshihiro Takayama, Pancrase figher Takafumi Ito accepting the challenge of 2010 Tenka-Ichi Jr. Tournament Champion Ikuto Hidaka. And the big match up featuring Masato Tanaka taking on Yuji Nagata.
