Is the NWA World Jr. Champion, Craig Classic, a Wanted Man?

Is there a price on the head of Craig Classic?  Is the NWA World Junior Champion becoming a target of Junior Heavyweights around the world?  Craig Classic, since winning the NWA World Jr. Championship has been jet-setting across the globe putting his Jr. Crown on the line.  Coming off a huge victory, Classic has now defeated two former NWA World Jr. Champions.  Classic this past weekend defeated "Mr. 630" Jerrelle Clark at I Believe XXX, Classic defeated.  Classic defeated Tony Kozina earlier this year at a NWA Midwest show.

However, after the show, was a contract.  A contract to defend the NWA World Jr. Champion against a former World Jr. Champion in a rival organization.  In only a matter of days, Classic will defend his price against
TJ Mack, the former AWA World Tag Team with brother and friend of the Alliance Kirby Mack.  TJ is also a former AWA World Light Heavyweight Champion.  This match with take place at PWX on June 18th

When we talked to Craig Classic a few months back for Alliance Radio, Classic made it clear he would answer any challenge.  The past few months, the NWA World Jr. Champion has defeated Lince Dorado (also stole his mask), Nick Impact in and won both the PRWA Puerto Rico Jr. and the IPW/PPW International Jr. Titles in Puerto Rico.  Classic went to New Jersey and defeated Joey Spades and Colby Corino.  It should be noted Classic has a schedule dating out to early 2012.  No doubt about Classic is representing the NWA proudly, but for how much longer?  Tony Kozina has demanded a rematch, Christopher Gray gets a shot at Classic upcoming at the next NWA Florida show, also defenses against Mike Jackson and a return to Japan are not to far away.

NWA Vintage to host NWA National Championship Match: Shatter vs. Prophet

NWA Vintage's Atticus broke the news December 21st, on Alliance Radio.  The NWA National Championship will be defended in the Garden State on January 15th at the Derby Den, 1120 Crown Point Road, West Deptford New Jersey.  Not only will this be the first show of the year for NWA Vintage Pro, but this will be the first time the NWA National Championship has been defended in New Jersey in nearly a decade.

The announcement of the main event is maybe as explosive as the opponents on opposite sides of the rings.  NWA DAWG Champion Chance Prophet has had a remarkable resurgence in the National Wrestling Alliance in 2010.  Chance had become somewhat recluse after the injury that saw the National Championship taken away from him.  The Poster boy for the NWA, long gone.  Chance's phone stopped ringing and some thought his wrestling days were over.  In 2010, the newly nicknamed Dark Child took his NWA DAWG Title all over the East Coast.  Chance Prophet had made an impact with his eyes still set on the NWA World Championship.

NWA National Champion Phil Shatter too has had a very prosperous 2010.  Phil Shatter had successful defenses of his National Championship against the likes of Adam Pearce, Michael Faith, Ace Rockwell, Shadow Jackson, Boogie Woogie Gary Valiant, and Jayson Plisken all over, with stops in North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma, and even nearly captures the NWA North American Championship from the Sheik in Florida, and just inches away from winning the World Championship on more than one occasion, once in Charlotte and once in Columbus.

When these two collide for the National Title, the winner may as well be punching his ticket for a NWA World Championship Match.  But this show won't just feature a Super Main Event.  Already announced for January 15th   ROH and  Pro Wrestling Noah Superstar Alex Payne takes on the very talented Drew Gulak
All the way from the Land of the Rising Sun Hidetka Suzuki will go one on one with his heated rival Frankie Arion in what is sure to be a classic.  The Monster Squad of John Dahmer & Anthony Graves look to continue their reign of terror in the NWA as they take on the new tag team of wrestling veteran Jojo & his new tag team partner the promising rookie the Latin Dragon.  A Person who is no stranger to NWA action Johnny Calzone looks to continue his success as he takes on a new comer to NWA Vintage Nathen Avery
NWA Vintage is always looking to bring you the very best from around the globe & this next match will be no exception as 2 wrestlers from the New England area will battle.. You will see Matt Greely take on Elvia Markopoulos in what should be an awesome encounter.  Matt Tremont looks to put his life on the line as he battles the very dangerous WHACKS in a match not for those who are weak of heart.  If that was not all NWA Vintage's Ultra Violent Icon Nick Gage has an Open Challenge for the most bad ass wrestler in the NWA to see what he has against the man who many are too scared to even get in the ring with

All tickets are only $13 & Children under 5 get in free.. Tickets are going fast & make great last second gifts for the Holidays!

You can order tickets by emailing atticus1367@comcast.net or you can pick them up at the building starting December 27th

Come bring your entire family to what will be an amazing night of pro wrestling action!!

NWA Vintage's Atticus Reign joins Alliance Radio with Kirby Mack Dec. 21st 8PM EST

You demanded it. The last time Kirby Mack joined the Alliance, it was one of the top rated podcast in Alliance History. And we spent as much time talking baseball as we did talking wrestling.  Well this time Kirby is back, but this time around he will be in a co-host position. Were still talking about your NEW ADDICTION, but Kirby and Jay will welcome the newest member of the New Jersey branch of the NWA, Atticus Reighns of NWA Vintage.

Over the years the State of New Jersey has been home to many famous pro-wrestling matches. And over the years there have been several NWA promotions representing the Garden State and 2010 would see three, active promotions, NWA Force One, NWA Dawg Pound, and NWA Vintage. Atticus Reighns would present his first NWA sanctioned event in September of 2010 featuring some of the best talents from New Jersey including talents from Force One and DAWG. In 2011 Atticus has plans to put on more shows and honor the history and tradition of the NWA.  Will be talking to Atticus about the creation of NWA Vintage, and what's next for the promotion.  If you have questions for Atticus or Kirby you can call in and talk wrestling.

The Return of NWA World Champion Adam Pearce to Alliance Radio Oct. 4th 5:30PM PDT, 8:30 EDT

"I'm not a star David Marquez... I'm a legend," was echoed during the "1 Hour Interview Special with the Worlds Champion" on KDOC-TV.  And although we are only one week removed from the one-hour special with "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce, there are many unanswered questions we have for the Worlds Champion.  No stranger to Alliance Radio, this will make the 4th appearance of the three time reigning NWA World Champion has been our guest on the show.  When we catch up with the Adam he will be returning from his most recent NWA World Title defense in Canada for WFX Wrestling and preparing for his match-up with "Boom Boom" Colt Cabana  for NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood.  When you are the Worlds Champion, there is no such thing as a day off.  Pearce spent the week previous in Atlanta and the week before that in Mexico.  When we catch up with Adam we'll be talking about his past few weeks of action across North America, his appearance for WFX Wrestling, the much talked about NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood and his showdown with Colt Cabana.  And we'll take your calls too!

NWA Oklahoma Champion Michael Faith Joins the Alliance

Most wrestler who reach the 300lbs mark are not typically known for their high flying prowess.  But then again, most 300lbs. wrestlers aren't the Largeador, Michael Faith.  The two time former NWA Texas Champion and reigning NWA Oklahoma Champion has defied not only the laws and of gravity, but the definitions of what a Big Man should be.  Faith has the ability to devastate opponents with a powerbomb or take an arching leaping lionsault on to his next victim.  Michael Faith was the NWA Texas Champion earlier this month when he was forced to tap out to former WWE Superstar Charlie Haas.  The Largeador rebounded to win the NWA Oklahoma Championship a few weeks later.  And on October 2nd the Red River Rivalry, Michael Faith will step into the ring with another former Alliance Radio Guest and the reigning NWA National Heavyweight Champion, Phil Shatter.  There is no telling what kind of destruction and devastation will take place at the Western Oklahoma State College Gymnasium.  But before his big opportunity to become a double champion, the Largeador will join Alliance Radio to talk about his career, his time working in Japan and Texas, Teaming with Lance Hoyt, The VooDoo Murders, his thoughts on the man who took his Texas Championship Charlie Haas and the man he faces for the NWA National Title.  And we'll take your calls!!!

Kirby Mack joins and NWA Dawg Pound Champion Chance Prophet return to the Alliance

Join Alliance Radio with Kirby Mack and Chance Prophet Monday Sept. 27th 4:30PM PDT (7:30PM EDT)

"Death defying," "High Risk," "Unbelievable," all commonly used to describe the in ring presence of "Special K" Kirby Mack.  But what would you expect from a wrestler who was trained by Matt and Jeff Hardy?  Krazy Kirby Mack has made a name for himself, up and down the Eastern Sea Board.  Whether it be Ring of Honor, NWA Anarchy, the AWA, or FIP, Kirby Mack has never been one to back down from a fight.  Even battling his brother for the AWA Jr. Championship.  In recent months, Kirby Mack has began working dates with the NWA.  Later this month, Kirby will team with his brother TJ to take on the Midnight Sensations.

We'll be talking to Kirby about his start back with the Hardyz, his days working with NWA Anarchy, NWA in Charlotte, NWA Dawg Pound, his take on the Midnight Sensations, and check in with out he his after head being nearly crushed against Joel Maximo.  But this is only the half of it.

Returning to Alliance Radio in the second half of the show, is none other than NWA Dawg Pound National Champion.  Since last we spoke, Chance was preparing to battle Tommy Force.  Little did Chance no, that Force would suffer from an injury that would shoot the Dark Child into the spotlight.  Chance Prophet would go on to win the NWA Dawg Pound Championship Title in an inaugural 4 Way Match.  And then Defend the title in New Jersey,  Ohio, North Carolina, West Virgina, and on October 23rd he steps into the ring with the son of Afa the Wild Samoan, Manu.  And if Chance Prophet survives Manu on the 23rd, the very next night he faces Sami Callahan.  But before Chance steps back into a DAWG Pound ring, he'll be back on Alliance Radio and taking your calls.  And don't be surprised if we get a visit from Jaden on the show.

Willie Mack Joins the Alliance

Mach-1 Champ Willie Mack joins Alliance Radio Monday, Sept. 20th at 7:30PM EDT, 4:30PM PDT.

Some might call the Mach 1 Heavyweight Champion, Willie Mack and over-night sensation, but that would be an injustice to all the blood, sweat, and tears, Mack has shed through out his struggles to make in the world of professional wrestling.  Mack made his first splash to a national audience when he appeared on the NWA Showcase.  Still learning the ropes, Mack would face off against guys like Joey Ryan, NWA Worlds Champion Adam Pearce, and former World Champion Brent Albright. February 5th of this year, Willie Mack cashed in an opportunity to wrestle in a Four-Way Match for the Mach-1 Wrestling Heavyweight Championship.  Outlasting Ryan, James Morgan and Bobby Marshall, Mack has held on to that title successfully regardless of the challenger.  As his notoriety grew, Mack would be invited to take part in the wildly successful Lucha Va Voom under the guise of Chocolate Caliente.  The native of St. Louis Missouri, faces his biggest challenge in Mach-1 in the man "Big Nasty" Jason Watts who has every intention to take the title from Willie Mack.  I will be talking to Mack about his eventual showdown with Watts, Mach-1 Wrestling, his altercation with "Very European" Claudio Castagnoli, and how he feels about the NWA Championship Wrestling From Hollywood.  And we'll be taking your calls!

R.I.P. Lance Cade

Lance Cade
March 2, 1981 – August 13, 2010
BREAKING NEWS: It is being reported at PWInsider that Lance Cade, 29, has died. We have no details at the moment. Our sincerest sympathies go out to all his family, especially his young children.
Alliance Wrestling is sad to hear about the passing of Lance Cade.  Cade, currently Ranked #10 in the NWA World Championship contenders.  Cade had recently returned to the NWA, in NWA Southwest competing for the NWA Texas Heavyweight Championship, currently held by Chad Thomas.  Cade had also issued challenges to North American Champion the Sheik.  Between his dates in the NWA Southwest, Lance joined the All Japan roster teaming with former partner Rene Dupree.  I had an opportunity to speak to Lance back on April 26th talking about his career and his future ambitions in the world of wrestling.  You can listen to it clicking here.  Another one, gone too soon.  And much like PWInsider, I'd live to give my deepest sympathies to Lance's family and his brothers in wrestling.  Rest In Peace.

NWA Southwest back on Television on two Dallas-Forth Worth stations.

Dallas, Texas (July 23) – National Wrestling Alliance Southwest (NWA-SW) announced today the return to weekly television programming after a 7- year absence from the airwaves. The show will be titled NWA STARS playing off the Lone Star of Texas motto, and will debut July 25, at 11 p.m. CST on KLDT, Channel 54. It will also air on Time Warner’s Channel 95 serving Dallas subscribers beginning in three weeks with time slots to be announced soon.

NWA-SW owner Ken Taylor said the Show will be a 30-minute format. The show will also be exported in the near future to a server to be aired worldwide Internet.

“We’ve been working on this for the past six months so one format would be adaptable enough to serve both TV and the Internet” said Taylor. “These two television shows will mark the first time we’ve aired on cable in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area.”

Taylor said more Road Shows will now be scheduled in North Texas to take full advantage of the TV programming, but added that NWA STARS could be expanded to a few more cities in Texas were NWA-SW will be running regularly. “With both TV and the Internet, we intend to bring the NWA brand back as strong as it was 30 years ago in both Texas and Oklahoma,” he added.

NWA-SW is no new kid on the block to television wrestling. From 1999 to 2003, the company aired 200 one-hour weekly episodes in DFW, and was also carried on the defunct Urban American TV network reaching 60 markets in the USA.

Taylor concluded that NWA STARS will be the first wrestling show to be broadcast on two different television stations in DFW starting next month.

NWA Southwest presents Parade of Champions, August 14th 2010 from Gainsville Texas.  NWA Worlds  Champion "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce defends against Former WWE Superstar Charlie Haas.  Charlie Haas will also be on the Alliance Radio, the official podcast of Alliance-Wrestling.com, a NWA Fan Site.
