NWA Pro/M1W "New Years Day Cup" - A 16 Person Juniors Tournament on January 1st, 2011

In the tradition of and inspired by RevPro's "Revolution J", which was the premier SoCal juniors tournament of it's time, NWA/M1W presents the "New Years Day Cup" which will be a 16 person tournament held over one day on Saturday January 1st, 2011 with a start time of 4pm.

One person will have to compete and win in four matches over the course of one evening to win the "New Years Day Cup" and lay claim to be one of, if not the top junior in Southern California.

To qualify as a junior, one must weigh in at under 200 pounds on the day of the event. Here is a list of the entries into this inaugural event.
"Pretty" Peter Avalon
Carson City, NV - 5'10" - 169lbs. - Finisher: "The Marti-Knees"
- "Pretty" Peter Avalon has been enjoying successes recently on NWA Championship Wrestling From Hollywood as well as in M1W, EWF & PWG here in Southern California and could use this tournament to cement his status as a main player.

Todd Chandler
Huntington Beach, CA - 5'9" - 180lbs. - Finisher: "Just Ribbing You"
- Todd Chandler is one half of the newly crowned SoCal Pro Tag Team Champions and is looking to continue to ride that momentum into singles success and bring the cup home.

Disco Machine
Studio 54 in Tempe, Armenia - 5'10" - 199lbs. - Finisher: "Chokebreaker"
- Disco Machine is the most seasoned veteran in the tournament as looking to use that experience to edge out the competition and add the cup to his already stacked list of accolades.

Famous B
Beverly Hoods, CA - 5'8" - 180lbs. - Finisher: "Flashing Lights"
- Famous B out of The Santino Brothers training camp brings an element of mystery to the tournament being a relative newcomer to the NWA family and may just be able to use this unexpectedness to make his way to the cup.

Johnny Goodtime
His parents basement in Scranton, PA - 5'11" - 195lbs. - Finisher: "I'm crushing your head"
- Johnny Goodtime is one of the most successful teams currently in the NWA, The RockNES Monsters, but singles success has eluded him for the most part and now he has an opportunity to earn some singles glory.

Kyu
Las Vegas, NV - 5'8" - 170lbs. - Finisher: "Devil's Dagger"
- Kyu is a tremendous high flier and a juniors tournament might just be the platform he needs to be successful as he is stylistically most comfortable in this element.

Candice LeRae
Disneyland, CA - 5'2" - 113lbs. - Finisher: "Raccoon Neckbreaker"
- Candice LeRae is the only female in the tournament and had to petition hard for the spot as the NWA typically doesn't condone the element of a man vs. a woman, but her history in battling man and successes in it have convinced the Board of Directors.

Jarek Matthews
Woodward, OK - 5'7" - 200lbs. - Finisher: "So I guess this is goodbye"
- Jarek Matthews is perhaps the biggest underdog in the tournament but you'd never know it by talking to him as that day as well as everyday to him is "The Best Day Ever."

Brandon Parker
Los Angeles, CA - 5'9" - 155lbs. - Finisher: "Top Rope Double Stomp"
- Brandon Parker is a striker has a strong ground game that may come in handy battling fellow juniors because if he can find a way to keep his opponents grounded then the cup will be his.

TJ Perkins
Los Angeles, CA - 5'10" - 175lbs. - Flying Armbar
- TJ Perkins has to be considered the odds on favorite in any juniors tournament that he competes in. He blends high flying with technical ability better than almost anybody in the world and his opponents will be hard pressed to find a chink in his armor.

Ridiculouso
Kalamazo, MI - 6'0" - 155lbs. - Finisher: "Cut Throat Silver Slice"
- Ridiculoso has an unorthodox style that makes him almost impossible to train and prepare for and thus may just shock everyone on his way to the cup.

Joey Ryan
Hollywood, CA - 5'10" - 210lbs. - Finisher: "The End Scene"
- Joey Ryan weighed in today at 210lbs and despite historically being a fan of Christmas treats has guaranteed by January 1st, he will be at 200lbs and eligible for the tournament. With recent success in PWG's Battle of Los Angeles tournament, Ryan doesn't want to miss another opportunity for tournament glory.

Scorpio Sky
Big Bear, CA - 5'10" - 193lbs. - Finisher: "TKO"
- Scorpio Sky had an incredible year in 2010 including battles with Shelton Benjamin and Adam Pearce and brings a stacked resume into the tournament and is looking to add the cup to it.

Sidarin
Los Angeles, CA - 5'6" - 155lbs. - Finisher: "Shiranui"
- Sindarin is one of the last graduates of the AWS camp and will be making his M1W debut in the tournament and knows an opportunity to make a splash like this might be a once in a lifetime chance.

Ryan Taylor
Long Beach, CA - 6'0" - 190lbs. - Finisher: "Tope Attomico"
- Ryan Taylor is a main player almost everywhere he goes and not only is the EWF champion but is a regular in PWG and has recent experience from Michinoku Pro in Japan.

Johnny Yuma
San Diego, CA - 5'7" - 140lbs. - Finisher: "Sex Factor"
- Johnny Yuma is the other half of The RockNES Monsters and much like his partner, is also looking to showcase his singles ability and bring the cup to his tour bus.

NWA Pro/Mach-1 Presents "Friday Fight Night" Sept 17th 2010

NWA Pro/Mach-1 Wrestling presents “Friday Fight Night” on Friday, September 17th at 8:05pm in Anaheim, CA!

Due to the brawl that spilled out outside of the M1W arena and into the American Sports Center, the NWA Board of Directors and M1W Office have decided to keep the M1W Champion Willie Mack and the number one contender Jason Watts away from one another until precautions can be set to keep the fans of M1W and patrons of the ASC safe.

However, the NWA BOD and M1W let Mack and Watts select the opponent from the M1W roster for their rivals this week.

Willie Mack vs. Cedric The Hitman
- Jason Watts is a man of few words and even fewer friends and instead of selecting someone from the M1W roster, has instead decided to hire the assassin known as Cedric The Hitman to do his dirty work.

Jason Watts vs. Johnny Goodtime
- On the contrary, Willie Mack has many friends in the M1W locker room and has selected another champion in one-half of the tag team champions, Johnny Goodtime to deliver some payback on his behalf to Jason Watts.

Disco Machine vs. James Morgan
- It seems as though James Morgan has changed his ways and become a fan favorite again amongst the M1W audience, however this week his opponent is maybe the biggest fan favorite in all of Southern California, the Disco Machine!

Nick Madrid & Mikey Callahan vs. Leo Blaze & Josh Worthy
- Two teams on the losing end of their recent battles have signed on to face each other in hopes of turning their luck around and possibly catapulting their way into title contention.

"Pretty" Peter Avalon vs. Ruben Iglesias
- A rematch from two weeks ago in what some would call an upset, when Iglesias defeated Avalon. Iglesias however, has been undefeated since he began wearing the Power Balance Band and will surely be wearing it this week as he looks to make it two in a row over Avalon.

Johnny Yuma vs. Kyle Webb (w/ David Troy)
- With Johnny Goodtime already in singles competition, the other half of the tag team champions, Johnny Yuma will also be in singles action and will undoubtedly have his hands full with Kyle Webb!

NWA Pro/Mach-1 Wrestling’s weekly “Friday Fight Night” comes to you live every Friday from the American Sports Center at 1500 S. Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim, CA 92805. Bell time 8:05PM, doors open at 7:30. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for students w/ ID and children 12 and under.

NWA Pro/Mach-1 Wrestling Presents "Friday Fight Night" Aug. 20th

NWA Pro/Mach-1 Wrestling presents “Friday Fight Night” on Friday, August 20th at 8:05pm in Anaheim, CA!

Shaun Ricker & Jason Watts vs. Human Tornado & M1W Champion Willie Mack
- Last week saw Jason Watts become the number one contender and stare down Willie Mack. It also saw Shaun Ricker and Human Tornado at odds after they failed to become the M1W Tag Team Champions. This tag team match will pit these newly formed rivalries against one another for the first time in M1W.

1/2 of the M1W Tag Team Champions Johnny Goodtime vs. Scorpio Sky
- Last week also saw the team of Scorpio Sky & Joey Ryan become the number one contenders for the M1W Tag Team Titles and this match is part one of the preview to the Tag Team Championship match that the two teams are headed for.

1/2 of the M1W Tag Team Champions Johnny Yuma vs. Joey Ryan
- This is part two of the preview to the Tag Team Championship match lined up between the champion RockNES Monsters and the new number one contenders of Scorpio Sky & Joey Ryan.

Candice LeRae & Kitana Vera vs. Carla Jade & Liz Savage
- LeRae & Vera have been unstoppable since the two formed an alliance in M1W and now they must contend with returning Carla Jade and the debuting Liz Savage who are hoping to turn a few heads with a victory over the dominant duo.

Disco Machine vs. "Pretty" Peter Avalon
- Two times before these men have met in M1W and both times Avalon scored the victory by bending and breaking the rules. Now at the request of Disco Machine, M1W has signed part three of this match and Disco Machine has promised to be more prepared for the actions of Avalon.

Unsanctioned Match
Brandon Parker vs. Nick Madrid
- Last week Madrid scored the victory over Parker but Parker claimed Madrid was only able to accomplish this because Parker was confined to the outdated rules of professional wrestling. Parker then challenged Madrid to a match where closed fists would be legal and rope breaks wouldn't save anybody from an attack. Although shots below the belt, biting and eye gouging will still be illegal and an outside weapons will still call for a DQ, these relaxed rules have left the NWA unable to sanction this match.

Mikey Callahan vs. Josh Worthy
- Both coming off recent losses in their bids to become champions in M1W, these men could use a victory here to begin their climb back up the rankings and back into title contention.

Press Release: NWA Pro/SoCal Pro on Saturday, August 14, 2010

SoCal Pro Wrestling returns to the Oceanside Boys and Girls Club at 401 Country Club Lane in Oceanside. Tickets $15 for Adults and $10 for Kids and Military. Doors Open at 6pm, bell time at 7pm. The Main Event features the SoCal Pro Heavyweight Championship"The Mirror Image" Ricky Mandel (c) w/ C. Edward Vander Pyle vs. SCP Tag Team Champion Johnny Yuma

SoCal Pro Heavyweight Championship
"The Mirror Image" Ricky Mandel (c) w/ C. Edward Vander Pyle vs. SCP Tag Team Champion Johnny Yuma
- The current SCP Heavyweight Champion will attempt to defend his title for the fourth time against a new challenger in Johnny Yuma. After a controversial reverse decision made by Referee Adam Marantz, Ricky Mandel retained the gold and SoCal Crazy's title victory was declared null and void. A referee's decision is always final and Mandel's reign as champion continues unless he manages to lose to a RockNES Monster. Johnny Yuma can make history in becoming a dual-champion by simultaneously holding the SCP Tag Team Title and SCP Heavyweight Title. Mandel stated that Yuma does not compare to the greatest of The Mirror Image and is not even in his league. Yuma will have to pull out all the stops in order to become the new SCP Heavyweight Champion and have eyes in the back of his head since Mandel and Vander Pyle have tricks up their sleeves. Can Ricky Mandel retain the SCP Heavyweight Title? Or will Johnny Yuma rock and roll all over Mandel to become a dual-champion?

#1 Contender’s Match
SoCal Crazy vs. Hector “El Chido” Canales
- SoCal Crazy wants other chance to become a three-time SCP Heavyweight Champion, but he will need to defeat Hector Canales in order to earn the right to be the #1 Contender. SoCal Crazy is infuriated by the fact that his title victory last month never happened. Canales is another wrestler upset with Ricky Mandel still being the champion. Ever since Mandel became the champion in April, Canales anticipated getting his revenge and an actual heavyweight title shot. Month after month, Canales was denied by SoCal Pro officials to step into the ring with his former Cool Imagery member. On August 14, Canales will look no further because he will receive a guaranteed opportunity at whoever is the champion by first defeating SoCal Crazy. Friendships will be put aside in this match because of its importance. Can SoCal Crazy earn another shot at the heavyweight title that rightfully belongs to him? Or will Hector Canales show everyone in SoCal Pro why he deserves to be the next champion?

Singles Match
SCP Tag Team Champion Johnny Goodtime vs. "Mr. Megastar" Tommy Wilson
- In a rematch from last year's A Rumble in Oceanside, Johnny Goodtime will face the former SCP Heavyweight Champion Tommy Wilson. This rematch will be different from their previous match because Johnny Goodtime will enter the match at 100% instead of having to wrestle ill and against the doctor's orders. Goodtime wants to prove that he can beat Wilson with or without the doctor's order. As for Goodtime's opponent, he believes the current SCP Tag Team Champion is not a threat to him since Goodtime was defeated by then-champion Tommy Wilson to retain the SCP Heavyweight Title. If Goodtime gets and upset win on a former heavyweight champion, then SoCal Pro officials should take notice and give another RockNES Monster a title shot. Can Johnny Goodtime prove his worth to Tommy Wilson? Or will Mr. Megastar prove that he can't be stopped by Goodtime?

Singles Match
Chimaera vs. Johnny Paradise
- After defeating Jaysin Strife at Collision Course 4, Chimaera will head into SoCal Pro's August show with much needed momentum since the luchador will wrestle a tough opponent, the former two-time AWS Heavyweight Champion Johnny Paradise. There seems to be hostility from Paradise toward his opponent because Chimaera recently aligned himself with one of Paradise’s biggest rivals, SoCal Crazy. The lost of the AWS Heavyweight Title to SoCal Crazy still bothers Paradise to this very day and he wants to take out his frustrations on another luchador who happens to be Chimaera. Paradise will also need to pick up another win since he has more losses than wins in the SoCal Pro record book. Chimaera’s winning streak will continue and hopefully he will be granted a future heavyweight title shot against whoever is the champion. That is if he can get past Johnny Paradise.

Tag Team Match
Todd Chandler & Kid Caramba vs. “Pretty” Peter Avalon & Mystery Partner
- Peter Avalon is searching for a new tag team partner since his original tag team partner, “The Professional” Scott Lost, wrestled his final match with SoCal Pro last month. Who will be Avalon’s new tag team partner? Avalon is the only one to know the answer to the question, at least for the time being. Avalon’s opponents, Todd Chandler and Kid Caramba, have no idea on the identity of the mystery partner and even how to prepare for an opponent they know absolutely nothing about. Chandler and Kid Caramba need to walk into Oceanside with a serious game plan considering they have never been partners and Kid Caramba is still a rookie to the wrestling ring. Which team will prevail in the tag team match? Find out on August 14.

"Lovin" Nick Lovin to speak in Oceanside
- Nick Lovin requested time to publicly speak to the SoCal Pro fans about his future in SoCal Pro. He will also discuss being defeated by Kitana Vera in the first-ever intergender match that took place at Collision Course 4.

Plus: "Radiant" Jason Redondo in action and more!

NWA Pro/Mach-1 Wrestling Presents Friday Fight Night

Main Event
M1W Champion Willie Mack & Scorpio Sky v. James Morgan & "Pretty" Peter Avalon
- Scorpio Sky's shot at Willie Mack's M1W Championship was ruined by a selfish James Morgan who attacked Mack during the bout cost the match to be thrown out. This week Mack & Sky are joining forces to get a little redemption on Morgan who has selected a partner who has been no stranger to Sky or Mack in recent weeks, Peter Avalon!

1/2 of the M1W Tag Team Champions Johnny Goodtime v. Akira Tozawa
- This is a special attraction match featuring one half of the reigning M1W Tag Team Champions The RockNES Monsters in Johnny Goodtime going up against Japan's Akira Tozawa! This will be an a match up between two of the most talented athletes to step foot in a ring that you will not want to miss!

Joey Ryan v. Cedric The Hitman
- This is a first time meeting that has an interesting teacher v. student dynamic to it. Although Cedric The Hitman is currently enrolled in M1W's Wrestling 101 which is headed by Ryan & Goodtime, he is no rookie, so it will be interesting to see if he uses his newly learned material or rely on what brought him to the dance in the first place.

1/2 of the M1W Tag Team Champions Johnny Yuma v. Rising Son
- The other half of the reigning M1W Tag Team Champions The RockNES Monsters, Johnny Yuma will also be in singles action as he takes on Rising Son who is fresh of a successful return to pro wrestling. Nobody is sure what Rising Son's agenda is, but one thing is for sure, he's not here to play nice and knocking off an M1W Champion could be a way for him to jump into title contention.

Anchors Away (David E. Jones & Ryan Stone) v. Leo Blaze & Josh Worthy
- This is a match between two team who do not feel the need to endear themselves to the fans. With the tag team division heating up though, there are no room for friends, even with common outlooks. May the more despicable team win!

Jacob Diez v. Jason Watts
- Watts has been unstoppable since entering M1W but Diez could be the guy to take him out with his vast experience and newly formed style at M1W Wrestling 101.

Brandon Parker v. Nick Madrid
- Nick Madrid has made a big splash in M1W since being added to the roster. Now this M1W Wrestling 101 student is looking to get a win over a man who has begun to make his own splash in M1W in Brandon Parker.
